The most Expensive toy

If you balk at dropping $40 on a Transformers toy for your kid this Christmas, then you’ll be happy to know that the world’s most expensive toy robot wasn’t made for retail. In order to bring more exposure to one of their flagship toy lines, Japanese toymakers Bandai teamed up with well-known jewelers Ginza Tanaka. The result, valued at around $250,000 USD, is Gundam Fix Platinum.Representing two years of work on the part of its creators, this expensive toy is, as its name suggests, made almost entirely of platinum. Fourteen hundred grams of pure platinum were used in the 89 parts that make up this figure. Why is it only almost entirely made of platinum? A .15 carat diamond was used in the camera eye on the figure’s head.

THe handstick

The biggest thing keeping the iPhone from rendering the Nintendo DSi and Sony PSP Go obsolete is its lack of physical buttons. You just can't play some games with a touchscreen. And this wacky iHandstick does nothing to solve that.

JOOJOO

The JooJoo Hands-On: Sexy, But Too Expensive

However, there were plenty of critiques. For one thing, this WiFi device is billed as a 720p HD media player. Unfortunately, many WiFi connections just don't offer the bandwidth needed to watch a streaming high-def film. The JooJoo boots fast, gets up and running in under 9 seconds, and the proprietary OS does a great job of pushing all power to the browser.

The World's oldest working computer!!!!

THE HARWELL COMPUTER will become the oldest functioning electronic stored program device in the world if Bletchley Park boffins can raise the funds to get it fixed.

The giant rack of vacuum tubes is being taken out of storage at Wolverhampton University where it has been gathering dust since 1973. The amazing thing is that, until then, the Harwell - or the WITCH (Wolverhampton Instrument for Teaching Computing from Harwell) as it was known at the time - was still being used to teach computing science to students. Its new home will be at the National Museum of Computing (TNMOC) at Bletchley Park, wartime home of the Enigma Machine codebreakers.

JBL Creature Speakers

JBL Creature speakers were released seven years ago, Apple's designs have (d)evolved into metal bricks. But that doesn't top JBL from selling the sci-fi-inspired Creature III exclusively through Apple channels. The original Creature speakers are recaptured in the $130 Creature IIIs, though the latest edition features a more compact subwoofer than Creatures of yore. Does the design hold up all these years later? You tell us.

The Most Expensive phone

1. Goldvish “Le million” = $1,000,000 (£540,540)

Goldvish

A PR stunt it may be, and they surely can’t be expecting to sell any, but the Goldvish “Le million” is officially the most expensive mobile phone in the world, according the Guiness Books of Records. There’s even been talk of a $1.3million phone, but this has fewer diamonds than the Goldvish so I can’t see where the extra expense comes from! The “Le million” is a one off, featuring a blinding 120 carats worth of VVS-1 grade diamonds, according to designer Emmanuel Gueit. If $1 million is out of your price range. the Geneva-based Goldvish also offer several other diamond-encrusted 18k gold models in your choice of rose, yellow, or white, starting at a much more reasonable $25,600
